Eikka Alatalo is a circus artist and musician based in Salo, Finland. Inspired by the peace and quiet of the countryside he tackles modern day concerns with his loud and stark art. Integrating the latest technology in music making with 1980’s absurd heavy-metal-steampunk style and contemporary circus he not only entertains but provokes action.

He addresses social exclusion and physical inactivity in his work whether it is a performance or arranging the annual Salo Circus Festival. Consideration of climate change is present as he operates in the field of performing arts as a performer and producer. Eikka is a maker, a DIYer and passionate about recycling. By circuit bending and attaching sensors and microcontrollers to his body he creates theater magic with audiovisuals, acrobatics and physical comedy.
